BRB Draft - Quick Start (version 1.1.1) ======================================= Control League of Legends champion select from your phone while you are away from your desk for a minute. Works with iPhone and Android. Nothing to install. You just need the one file, "BRB Draft.exe". (If you used the earlier "LoL Remote" file, delete it. BRB Draft replaces it and keeps your PIN, so your phone still works.) FIRST TIME (about 2 minutes) ---------------------------- 1. Put "BRB Draft.exe" anywhere you like, such as your Desktop. 2. Start League of Legends on your PC and sign in. 3. Double-click "BRB Draft.exe". - Windows may say "Windows protected your PC". This happens with new programs. Click "More info", then "Run anyway". - Windows may ask about the firewall. Tick "Private networks" and click "Allow access". This lets your phone reach your PC. 4. A page opens in your browser with a QR code. - Make sure your phone is on the SAME Wi-Fi as your PC. - Open your phone's camera, point it at the code, and tap the link. - You are connected. No PIN to type. 5. Make it feel like an app. - iPhone: in Safari tap the Share button, then "Add to Home Screen". - Android: in Chrome tap the menu (three dots), then "Add to Home screen" or "Install app". - If the app ever asks for a PIN, it is shown on the QR code page on your PC and in the black BRB Draft window. 6. Optional: turn on phone alerts (see PHONE ALERTS below). EVERY DAY --------- - Start League on your PC. - Double-click "BRB Draft.exe" and leave the black window open. - Open the BRB Draft icon on your phone. - When you are done, close the black window. WHAT IT DOES ------------ Accept: a big button appears when a match is found. Turn on "Auto-accept matches" at the bottom if you want it to accept for you. It is off by default. Champs: tap a champion to hover it on your PC. When it is your turn, the gold button at the bottom locks it in. Works for bans and picks, and you can hover before your turn. Lock in when my turn starts: before your turn, tap a champion, then tap the button at the bottom. BRB Draft locks that champion the moment your turn begins, so you do not have to scroll for it with the clock running. Tap the button again to cancel. It only ever locks the champion you chose, for your own pick or ban. Timer: the countdown for your ban or pick stays at the top of the screen while you scroll. It turns red in the last 10 seconds. Spells: tap a spell in each row. "Save these as my usual" remembers your favorite pair so you can apply it with one tap. Runes: three options. "Saved" switches to one of your saved rune pages. "Recommended" applies League's suggested runes for your champion. "Custom" lets you build a page from scratch. Recommended and Custom save to one page called "BRB Draft" in your League client, and change that same page each time. The first time, if all your rune page slots are full, the phone shows your page names and asks which one to give up. Pick one and confirm. That page is overwritten and renamed "BRB Draft", and nothing else is touched. You will not be asked again, because BRB Draft keeps reusing that page. If you would rather keep every page you have, delete one you do not need in the League client first. Skins: shows the skins you own for your current champion. Draft board: at the top of champion select, you can see your team and the enemy team side by side, with the bans for both teams under them (each ban appears as soon as it locks in, and stays after the ban phase ends). Enemy picks show up as they lock in. It only shows what the League client itself shows. In some modes, like blind pick, League hides enemy picks, so they will not appear. Tap "Hide" on the board to collapse it. If the enemy side stays empty, the note under the board tells you the game mode League is reporting. PHONE ALERTS (optional) ----------------------- Get a buzz on your phone when a match is found, or when it is your turn to ban or to pick. This uses ntfy, a free notification app, so you can be anywhere in the house, or have your phone locked. 1. Install the free "ntfy" app from the App Store or Google Play. 2. In BRB Draft on your phone, tap "Alerts" at the top right. 3. Tap "Copy topic". In ntfy tap +, paste the topic into the topic box, and tap Subscribe. (Leave the server as it is.) 4. Tap "Send test alert". Your phone should buzz. 5. Use the switches to choose which alerts you want. Notes: - Alerts only say what happened, such as "Your turn to ban." They never include champions or player names. - The topic name is like a private mailbox name. Anyone who knows it could read your alerts, so do not share it. "Make a new topic" gives you a new one. - Alerts are sent from your PC over the internet, so the PC needs to be online. Your phone does not have to be on your home Wi-Fi to receive them, but the BRB Draft screen itself only works on your home Wi-Fi. GOOD TO KNOW ------------ - It works in normal champion select (draft, blind, ranked, flex). Modes without a normal pick and ban, like ARAM, are not covered. - It only works on your home Wi-Fi. Do not try to open it to the internet, and do not forward any ports on your router for it. - Do not run it on school, dorm, work, or public Wi-Fi. Other people on the same network could try to connect to it. On your home network it is protected by a PIN, and 5 wrong guesses lock that device out for 5 minutes. - Your PIN and settings are stored in this folder: C:\Users\YOUR NAME\AppData\Roaming\BRB Draft Delete pin.txt there and start the program again to get a new PIN. - The Recommended and Custom rune options depend on how League handles rune pages. If Recommended shows an error, use Custom or a saved page instead, and tell us what the message said using the feedback link. - League patches can occasionally break a feature until this program is updated. - Updates: about every six hours the program checks brbdraft.com for the newest version number. If a newer one exists, a notice appears at the top of the phone page. It only tells you; nothing is downloaded or installed for you. To update, download the new file from brbdraft.com and replace the old one. Your PIN and settings carry over. - Feedback: the link at the bottom of the phone page opens an email to support@brbdraft.com. - This tool only does what you tap. It gives no in-game information and does not play for you. - Rune and spell pictures are loaded from Riot's public Data Dragon, so the PC needs internet access to show them. IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG ----------------------- Windows or your antivirus blocks the file New, unsigned programs are sometimes flagged by mistake. Choose "More info" then "Run anyway", or allow the file in your antivirus. The phone cannot open the page - Check the phone is on the same Wi-Fi as the PC (not cellular data). - Check the firewall question was answered with "Allow access" for Private networks. You can fix it later by searching Windows for "Allow an app through Windows Firewall" and allowing BRB Draft on Private networks. - Scan the QR code again from the page that opens on your PC. The page says "League is not open" Start the League client on the PC and wait a few seconds. "Too many wrong PINs" After 5 wrong PINs a device is locked out for 5 minutes. Wait, or close and reopen BRB Draft.exe. The easiest fix is to scan the QR code instead of typing the PIN. "Port is already in use" BRB Draft is already running in another window. Close that one first. The test alert does not arrive - Make sure you subscribed in the ntfy app to the exact topic shown in BRB Draft (Alerts). - Check the PC is online and the ntfy app is allowed to send notifications. - On iPhone, check Settings, Notifications, ntfy. Nothing happens when tapping a champion You can only hover or lock when you have a pick or ban. The bar at the top of the page says what is available.
